Whatever you dream you can do, begin it now!

Welcome to the Elevator blog.

We're super excited to have launched our mission to help you find good jobs.

To kick off the blog we thought we'd remind you of this superb, inspirational quote, which should probably be part of any job seeker's, freelancer's or prospective business owner's tool kit.

Often attributed to Goethe, the German writer and philosopher, these superbly motivational words are actually the work of William Hutchison Murray, a scottish mountaineer.

The reason we like this quote so much is that it epitomises the Elevator philosophy that hesitancy gets you nowhere, whilst boldness is the key element in creating the life you want.

No-one ever got a job they felt half-hearted about, but the attitude and enthusiasm of a committed applicant, who knows they can do the job in question and is completely committed, before even being offered the job, is an infectious and inspiring quality that can help win you the job of your dreams. We know from experience this works.

Take a while to think about what this means for you. What are you hesitating with? What splendid plans or ideas do you have which you would kick yourself for not doing if you saw someone else doing them successfully? What do you really want to do?

Print this quote out. Stick it up in front of your desk. Or come back here and re-read it if you're ever feeling down. These truly are words of wisdom. Enjoy.

Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative, there is one elementary truth that ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.
