FreeAgent is an online system designed to help small businesses and freelancers manage their finances. From estimates and invoices to cash flow and live profit and loss figures, FreeAgent provides a user-friendly interface with a customisable dashboard which allows you to view a summary of your accounts and finances all on the same page.
Managing cash flow is normally a top priority for small businesses whatever industry they work in, but we're not all accountants and managing our finances is often seen as a necessary but tedious task. So FreeAgent has been built with people like us in mind, to make it easy for mere mortals to keep on top of the numbers!
Their software automatically builds real-time business accounts from the bank statements, invoices and expenses you enter throughout the year. It allows you to keep your project activity in one place and to track the profitability of each project through income and expenses, along with your billable and unbillable time.
FreeAgent allows you to create and customise invoices using a selection of professionally designed templates, generate automated late payment reminders, recurring invoices, and thank you emails. You can even process online payments, if you need to! Plus the system helps you manage any tax you need to pay by calculating your Self Assessment or Corporation Tax liabilities and filling in up to 90% of the Sole Trader Self Employment form, which you can then submit directly to HMRC!
There are three different services available: for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. For larger companies with employees FreeAgent offers Corporation Tax, VAT, payroll, and time tracking features.
We think FreeAgent is a pretty cool solution, which has been cleverly developed to help freelancers and sole traders save time by keeping all their accounting safe in one place. They even provide free webinars which include live chat with support accountants to help you get to grips with the system and the accounting process, if you need help.
As part of our competition two lucky readers will have the chance to win a year’s subscription to FreeAgent.com and if the winners are already FreeAgent subscribers they will still receive one year free!
