THE ROLECampaigning operates as the window to the Woodland Trust’s Conservation and External Affairs work, uniting and enabling supporters to make a real difference for the UK’s woods and trees. The purpose of this role is to support our work to influence decision makers and policy at a local and national government level. We use people power to achieve our ambitions for ancient woodland protection and restoration, and new woodland creation. This role will also support the Charter for Trees, Woods and People as it develops, and motivate a small a network of dedicated campaigners to help build a future where people and trees are stronger together. THE CANDIDATEYou’ll be working with the Campaigns team to plan and launch effective, creative actions as well as responding to the public - experience handling public enquiries in a fast paced world is key. Along with a genuine interest in the environment you’ll have some knowledge of current public-facing campaigning styles and techniques, and be able to motivate a team of volunteers to help us to engage wider audiences in policy change and advocacy campaigns. You’ll have excellent communications skills and have some experience working with different types of media. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECTThere’s no other organisation like the Woodland Trust.
