Campaign Team Leader

£55,260 to £61,248 per annum
Hiring Organisation:
Greenpeace UK

Overview Greenpeace is an international non-profit global campaigning organisation. Our independence and global reach enable us to stand for positive change through action in order to defend nature and promote peace. We investigate and expose global environmental problems, confront those in positions of power and present alternative solutions. This is a chance to use all your leadership and strategic skills and knowledge of how campaigning can achieve change to help Greenpeace meet its mission of slowing climate change and halting biodiversity loss. As Campaign Team Leader you’ll lead, challenge and inspire a diverse team of campaigners, mobilisers and communicators to plan and deliver a high quality, globally relevant and impactful campaign. In doing so you’ll be embodying Greenpeace values and supporting the Programme Leadership Team in delivery of the overall Greenpeace programme. Responsibilities range from leading, supervising and liaising across the full lifecycle of campaign management and campaign strategy through to the provision of day-to-day line management and team leadership with an open and collaborative style. You’ll also be expected to build networks and represent Greenpeace to high-level external audiences. Location: Islington, London. We are currently trialling a hybrid working model to enjoy the benefits of both office based and remote working. The current expectation is for staff to work from the office in Islington at least 40% of their time. Reasonable adjustments to the trial policy as well as specific office based needs will be considered for those with long term health conditions and disabilities. You'll have:

  • A track record in a communications and/or public facing campaign environment, in the voluntary, private or public sector.
  • Proven experience of developing and delivering effective campaign strategies.
  • Ability to devise and conduct innovative, high quality communication in campaigns, using both traditional and digital communications strategies.
  • Experience of successfully leading and managing multi-disciplined, multi-talented campaign teams and multi-functional projects.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets.
  • Understanding of policy issues related to our current campaigns, including climate, fossil fuels and forests, or demonstrable ability to adapt quickly to new policy areas.
  • Willingness to work unsocial hours and to travel overseas for short periods.

We give you: You’ll be encouraged to develop both personally and professionally, taking advantage of the wide range of learning and development opportunities available to our staff. We offer great benefits such as a generous pension scheme, subsidised lunches, free yoga and a wealth of well-being resources, just to name a few. Take a look at our Work for Greenpeace pages to find out more about what it’s like to work for us and why you should apply.
