Opening Date:Friday 28 May 2021 Closing Date:Monday 28 June 2021 Interviews:Monday 12 July 2021 in Peterborough The Leprosy Mission is the world’s largest leprosy-focused organisation, a pioneer in our field, with 140 years’ experience tackling this ancient disease. As a leading international Christian development organisation, The Leprosy Mission England and Wales (TLMEW) works in 10 countries across Africa and Asia to defeat leprosy and transform lives. We raise funds to support our partners overseas to strengthen health systems, provide life changing health care services, skills training and opportunities for those who have been excluded and rejected by society. We serve people of all faiths and none. The digital landscape has changed and grown dramatically over the last 18 months, and this is an exciting time to join our growing fundraising team as we seek to reach new audiences, innovate digitally and tell engaging stories about the people we support. You will be working with fun, lively and supportive colleagues who are passionate about ending leprosy. We’re part of something amazing, changing people’s lives, and there is nothing more rewarding than that! Working with the Digital Innovation Manager and Creative Content Producer, you will have experience in designing and running successful digital marketing campaigns. In addition to proven creativity and experience of writing engaging copy, you will have experience of working with website content management systems, social media, analytics, Canva and Adobe. If you’ve worked in digital fundraising, marketing or sales, we’d love to hear from you! TLMEW is an explicitly Christian charity and part of your role is to represent the Mission’s purpose and ethos in digital communications to churches. As the successful candidate will be required to undertake biblical research to locate appropriate scripture for use in TLMEW written materials, there is an occupational requirement for the Digital Fundraising & Marketing Officer to be a committed Christian. TLMEW has a zero-tolerance policy towards any abuse, neglect and exploitation of all people. Successful candidates are expected to understand, sign and comply with all organisational policies, including our Code of Conduct and the Safeguarding Children & Vulnerable Adults Policy. Recruitment to roles within TLMEW includes, in particular, criminal record checks and the collection of relevant references. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from joining us as an employee; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a work health assessment questionnaire. TLMEW is committed to diversity and welcomes applications from appropriately qualified people from all sections of the community.
