REF: ADM2204 Are you passionate about how we farm and feed ourselves? With the Government’s recently published food strategy pledging to financially reward sustainable farming practices and make space for nature within the farmed landscape, there has never been a better time to drive forward an agroecological agenda. The Organic Research Centre (ORC) is perfectly positioned to this. We are the UK’s leading charity focusing on the development and promotion of sustainable, agroecological solutions to food, farming and environmental issues. ORC aims to change how the country farms by translating our research into real world application, providing farmers with a wealth of easily accessible resources and events that will help them deliver nature friendly farming. At this pivotal time, we are looking to appoint a Senior Fundraising Officer – Trusts & Foundations (G7) to join our team to develop and implement the fundraising strategy for securing donations from Charitable Trusts and Foundations. The successful candidate must have previous experience in a senior fundraising role and in securing high value donations, building successful relationships with Charitable Trusts and Foundations, creating and delivering written proposals, and be comfortable working independently and with the wider team to identify potential fundraising opportunities. We are looking to recruit the right candidate for this pivotal role which is part-time based on 30 hours per week. Office working hours are typically 9am-5pm but there is flexibility over working patterns for this role. Working from home could be accommodated although attendance at ad-hoc meetings (usually at our Cirencester office) would be required.
